5. Direct Unlock

With Root (via ADB interface):
  1. Take out SIM card from phone.
  2. Root your phone manually.
  3. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Install required driver.
  5. Click "Unlock" button.
  6. Follow software instructions (prompts).
Without root (via modem port)
  1. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  2. Install necessary driver.
  3. Click "Unlock" button.
  4. Follow software instructions (prompts).

6. Read unlock codes


Method 1. With Root (via ADB interface):
  1. Take out SIM card from phone.
  2. Root your phone manually.
  3. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Install required driver.
  5. Click "Read codes" button.
  6. Follow software instructions (prompts).

Method 2. Without root (via modem port):
  1. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  2. Install necessary driver.
  3. Click "Read Codes" button.
  4. Follow software instructions (prompts). Note: This method works on old firmwares/security only.

Method 3. Without root (via DIAG port):
  1. Type *#0808# and set "AP" to "DM+ACM+ADB".
  2. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  3. Install necessary driver.
  4. Click "Read Codes" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts). Note: In most cases KNOX(Warranty void) must be 0.

7. DRK fix

  1. Root your phone manually.
  2. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  3. Install necessary driver.
  4. Click "DRK Fix" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts).
Note: After the operation will be successfully completed, You can write a stock firmware. (to avoid FRP lock problems)

8. Reset FRP/Reactivation Lock


Method 1. Via UART (EMMC memory chip)
  1. Click "Reset FRP/Reactivation" button.
  2. Connect the phone to Box via Samsung Micro UART cable.
  3. Press and hold "Vol-" and "Power" buttons for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Wait until the software will ask you to connect Micro USB cable.
  5. Connect the phone to PC via Micro USB cable. Software will read some data.
  6. Connect again the phone to Box via Samsung Micro UART cable.
  7. Press and hold "Vol-" and "Power" buttons for 15-20 seconds.
  8. Follow software instructions (prompts).

Method 2. Via ADB (Combination)
  1. Enable ADB by writing boot.img partition from combination firmware
  2. Click "Reset FRP" button.
  3. Connect the phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Follow software instructions (prompts).

To Enable ADB You can try to do the following:
  1. Write full combination firmware.
  2. Enable ADB from settings
  3. Write stock firmware without "recovery.img", "cache.img", and "userdata" partitions.

9. Root

Root method #1:
  1. Download twrp-3.0.0-0_sm-a310.tar file from support.
  2. Use "Firmware Convertor" option to convert in *.oct format.
  3. Put phone into Download Mode.
  4. Connect the phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  5. Install required driver.
  6. Select converted firmware file.
  7. Click "Write firmware" button.
  8. Copy the file "SuperSU-v2.68-20160228.zip" to the root folder of your memory card.
  9. Shutdown your device.
  10. Put your device into Recovery mode.
  11. Select "apply update from sdcard" and choose "SuperSU-v2.68-20160228.zip".
  12. Select "reboot system now".
  13. After reboot phone will be rooted.

Root method #2:
  1. Download Rooted_Boot_SM_A310F.oct file from support.
  2. Put phone into Download Mode.
  3. Connect the phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Install required driver.
  5. Select downloaded firmware file.
  6. Click "Write firmware" button.
  7. Wait for phone restart
  8. Put your device into Recovery mode.
  9. Make "wipe cache partition"!
  10. After reboot phone will be rooted.

10. Repair EFS

  1. Put phone into Download Mode
  2. Connect the phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  3. Install required driver.
  4. Click "Repair EFS" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts).

  2. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.

  4. Click "Read Certificate" button.

  2. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  3. Install necessary driver.
  4. Click "Write Cert" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts).

13. Repair IMEI

  1. Root your phone manually.
  2. Take out (remove from the phone) SIM and SD cards.
  3. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Install required driver.
  5. Enter correct IMEI.
  6. Click "IMEI fix" button.
  7. Perform "Repair Network" operation.

14. Repair Network

  1. Root your phone manually.
  2. Take out (remove from the phone) SIM and SD cards.
  3. Connect powered-on phone to PC via Micro USB cable.
  4. Click "Repair Network" button.
  5. Follow software instructions (prompts). WARNING! This is a "patch firmware" solution, after reflash with stock firmware phone goes to initial condition!

To enter Download Mode, power off the phone, press and hold "Volume down" + "Home" + "Power ON" buttons.

Q: My phone not found by program. How can I configure my phone?

A: Provide following steps:
  1. Disconnect USB cable from phone (if connected).
  2. Go to Menu->Settings->Applications->Development.
  3. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.
  4. When message is appear press "Yes".
  5. Press "Read Info" in Octopus Samsung software.
